Hiking and playing.

Maxwell is in training with daddy for his first hiking trip to Tahoe later this summer. Jersey has some surprisingly good hikes (Garden State, baby!).

And just walking around today in the great weather:

Baby's first baseball game!

Maxwell got out to his first baseball game the other day, taking in a whopping two innings of the Somerset Patriots Single A franchise. Sadly, it didn't end well as Maxwell took a spill on the concrete picnic area for a nice lump and scab on his forehead.

This was before, when we were enjoying the game.

Belated movie star.

This is incredibly belated, say by seven months. But we finally finished editing and have the latest star turn for Maxwell in "Maxwell Keeps Growing..."!

(Warning: this one's pretty long, nearly 10 minutes, so you may need to set aside some time to view).

Swimming.

We signed Maxwell up for his first round of swimming lessons (aka singing, jumping and playing in the pool, not actually learning how to swim). He loved his first go of it last weekend.

Baby's first birthday party!

We had a great b-day brunch for Maxwell out in the 'Ville last weekend to celebrate a whole 12 months. Great weather, great food (with assistance from Grandma and Grandpa in particular) and great babies and friends. Enjoy the numerous shots...

A visit from Grandma and Grandpa Myser.

With the birthday party came the grandparents for a nice long weekend with babymyser. That meant a lot of love, and a lot of pictures. All told, our two cameras took 285 pics in the last week.

Here are a few:

partying with the girls at mindi's birthday (it was a big week)

Baby's first birthday!

Baby Maxwell Myser has been blogging for a whole year! His big party is on Saturday, but we had a preview opening some gifts from Mommy and Daddy today.

froggy paper (and froggy shirt).

froggy card (Maxwell still likes cards better than toys, btw).

froggy pull toy (are you sensing a theme? wait 'til Saturday).

Baby's first birthday! II

Grandma (and grandpa) Myser stopped by on Maxwell's birthday to read a book before heading into NYC for a musical.

Baby's first sugar high.

yep, that's a Peep!

And the following is his new thing. "I don't know, Dad. Beats me." He does this all the time.
